AGF at the WCF Africa Summit 2025
The commitments made at the WCF Africa Summit reaffirm AGF’s belief that sustainable development begins with empowered SMEs.
From 9 to 10 April 2025, Nairobi proudly hosted the WCF Africa Summit, an event jointly organized by the World Chambers Federation (WCF), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI). The summit brought together influential leaders, business communities and policymakers from across Africa, all with one shared mission: to accelerate the continent’s economic growth.
Themed around Africa’s transformation, the two-day forum explored pressing issues and opportunities across four core areas:
- SME growth and financial inclusion
- Digital transformation
- African economic integration & AfCFTA
- Sustainable trade & the green economy
These conversations were not just theoretical, they sparked concrete commitments to support SMEs, bridge financing gaps, and ensure African businesses are better positioned to compete globally.
Chambers of commerce emerged as a focal point of the discussions. Their role in Africa is not only about advocacy but also about creating the conditions that allow SMEs to thrive.
At African Guarantee Fund, we remain steadfast in our mission to support SMEs by strengthening partnerships. These collaborations are key to:
- Unlocking financial inclusion,
- Creating jobs and opportunities,
- Building resilient economies across Africa.
The commitments made at the WCF Africa Summit reaffirm AGF’s belief that sustainable development begins with empowered SMEs.
The WCF Africa Summit 2025 was more than just an event, it was a call to action. It highlighted the urgency of building strong ecosystems where SMEs can flourish and where sustainable trade becomes the standard.
As Africa continues its journey toward deeper integration and global competitiveness, one thing is clear: collaboration is our greatest asset. At AGF, we are excited to continue playing our part in shaping Africa’s economic future.
